West Triton commences operations

The West Triton commenced drilling operations in the Bass Strait today, spudding Wasabi-1 for Apache Energy. This is the first well in a 12 well drilling program undertaken by a consortium consisting of 5 Operators, currently scheduled to run until February 2009.
This is also the first well for the new built West Triton, which was delivered to Seadrill earlier this year.
