OFF SHORE PROJECTS

The ADA project portfolio contains a number of key offshore projects in various stages of completion. The Origin Energy program in New Zealand was  completed mid 2008 , followed by the completion of the Ensco-56 drilling project in November 2008 and the West Triton Drilling Consortium in February 2009. The Songa Venus consortium commenced in December 2008, while the Kan Tan IV has arrived in Australia and drilling for the consortium is scheduled to start during September 2009.

Kupe Gas Project
The Kupe Gas Project, operated by Origin Energy Resources, included drilling and completing 3 development wells in New Zealand's Taranaki basin. ADA designed the wells and managed the drilling aspects of the project, which commenced with the arrival of the Ensco-107 Jack Up drilling rig in October 2007. The wellhead platform jacket was installed using the rig and the well construction phase was completed in May 2008. An exploration program in the Taranaki basin commenced in direct continuation of the Kupe Gas Project, and was completed in August 2008. ADA managed the program on behalf of Origin Energy Resources.

West Triton Drilling Consortium
IIn 2007 ADA coordinated the forming of a drilling consortium to undertake a combined drilling program in the Bass Strait of the coast of Victoria, Australia. The consortium consisted of 5 Operators who had a total of 11 wells scheduled in both the Gippsland and Otway Basins. The rig selected was the West Triton, a new build Jack Up, which arrived in the Bass Strait in February 2008 for a 324 day initial term. ADA provided well engineering services and managed the consortium and the drilling operations on behalf of the participating Operators.

Kan Tan IV drilling Consortium

Despite a constrained rig market, ADA was able to contract the semi submersible drilling rig Kan Tan IV mid 2007 for a consortium consisting of 4 initial Operators. Since then the program has expanded to 15 wells over an estimated period of 18 months. Well locations are both in Australia's Bass Strait Area and New Zealand waters. The Kan Tan IV is managed by Maersk and mobilized from the Caribbean during the 2nd quarter of 2009 . ADA provides project management for the wells and will coordinate and manage drilling operations.

Ensco 56 Project Management
ADA engineered and planned a two well exploration program for Asian Drilling Services(ADS) / STP Energy in New Zealand’s Taranaki Basin, which commenced in August  2008 using the Ensco-56 Jack Up drilling rig. The program was reduced to a single well and completed in November 2008

Songo Venus Drilling Consortium
ADA have contracted the Songa Venus Semi-submersible for an initial term of 376 days and a second optional term of 376 days. The consortium contains 4 Operators scheduled to drill 7 wells, located in the North West Shelf area, Timor Sea and Browse basin. ADA provides well engineering and project management to each of the Operators and will coordinate and manage all day-to-day operations during the drilling phase. After drilling the initial well in January 2009, the program recommenced in August 2009 with the first of three wells for CNOOC Ltd.
