Kan Tan IV Consortium Complete

Following the completion of a drilling campaign for an ADA managed drilling consortium, the Kan Tan IV was moved to Port Phillip Bay and loaded onto a Heavy Lift Vessel for demobilization to Singapore where it arrived late February. The consortium drilled a total of 11 wells and performed one subsea work-over, on behalf of four Operators, offshore in Australia and New Zealand for Origin AUS, Origin NZ, AWE and Tap Oil.

The final well in the Kan Tan IV drilling campaign was successfully drilled in record time and under budget. The Kan Tan IV will now be demobilised.

ADA to manage drilling of Spikey Beach-1

On behalf of Beach Petroleum, ADA will manage the drilling of the Spikey Beach-1 well in Australia's Bass Strait using the Ocean Patriot Semi-submersible. ADA performed the well engineering services, and will manage the daily operations once the rig is handed over, which is expected for late August 2009, for the duration of the program.
Songa Venus Drilling Consortium recommenced
21 August 2009
After the successful completion of Zeus-1 for MEO Australia earlier in 2009, ADA has recommenced the Songa Venus drilling program during August. The rig has been mobilized to the Timor Sea area, and is currently drilling the first of a total three wells for CNOOC Ltd. Upon completion of the CNOOC Ltd program the Songa Venus will move to the Browse basin for an additional 3 wells operated by other members of the ADA managed Songa Venus drilling consortium. ADA provides Well Engineering and Drilling Project Management Services to all consortium participants.

ADA establishes Colombia branche

ADA has stepped up it's presence in South America by establishing a company in Colombia earlier this year, Australian Drilling Associates Pty Ltd – Sucursal Colombia. ADA continues to regard South America as an opportunity to deploy it's business model and expertise, and the entry into Colombia follows the establishment in 2008 of Australian Drilling Associates Energia Do Brasil Ltda, in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
